Introduction

Differing from the more affordable KTT switches such as the Red Wine, Mint and Sea Salt, the KTT Pine Green is part of the brand’s more premium lineup with distinct housing designs and moulding. Instead of the latch-style housings KTT has been known for, the Pine Green features the standard 4-leg MX style housing construction which makes switch opening and modding easier. Aside from this major difference, the Pine Green and other similarly-tiered KTT switches also appear to be slightly smoother stock, thanks to a different application of lube. Consistency is also noticeably better, with less variances in both sound and feel per batch.

This is not to say that the KTT Pine Green loses its identity of being a KTT switch, far from it, rather we like to think of it as a refinement of what we’ve come to love about them. The same slightly extended stem pole is still present, giving that clean and apparent bottom out sound with virtually no difference to the travel distance. Housing wobble is also non-existent, something KTT has truly mastered no matter the housing type. The best part is the weight - the KTT Pine Green has a very linear and meaty push feel to it that really strikes the perfect balance between comfort and responsiveness, at least in our opinion. Compared to the KTT Strawberry, the KTT Pine Green has a slightly heavier actuation force but lighter bottom out, narrowing the band between the two which directly translates to a more linear feel. This is in fact really the only difference between the two - besides the colour of course.

If you love a higher-pitched yet subdued sound signature and great value, this switch is for you.
