Introduction
Part of the AEBoards switch trio, the AEBoards Blaeck is the linear sibling to the Naevy which came before it, a project that was initiated way back in 2019. Both the Raed and Naevy have long-pole stems, whereas the Blaeck is a standard travel length switch made to mimic the MX Black. What’s special about these is that the stem is custom-designed by AEBoards themselves, and not just another generic recolour or OEM mix-and-match. Since their launch, all three switches have received several updates throughout the years, with slight changes to the materials - the latest being Round 2.1 which are the ones we have in-stock today.
Much like its siblings, the AEBoards Blaeck offers an approachable and no-frills linear switch experience. It is quite smooth right out of the box, has a crisp full sound and minimal stem wobble. It ticks every single box of what it takes to be a good standard travel linear, without any fancy gimmicks or tricks. As these are made to be AEBoard’s version of a MX Black - you can think of them as a modern re-interpretation of what a MX Black would be if it were to be designed in recent times. In fact, the sound of the AEBoards Blaeck actually mimics that of the MX Black, sharing a similar crisp tone but with a fuller thump and a lower pitch. These sound killer - especially when paired with a bright-sounding keyboard.
If you love the familiar MX Clack but want something a little more modern, this switch is for you.
