Introduction
Since the rise of the ‘early generation’ of MX-style switch manufacturers such as Gateron, Kailh and Outemu, numerous other brands started to gain traction and popularity amongst the enthusiast community - one of them being Tecsee. As a newer contender in the switch manufacturing scene, Tecsee switches offered unique materials which the companies before them did not - UHMWPE, PME, POM etc. as well as unique stems that were long-poled, a feature not commonly found in switches at the time.
The Tecsee Carrot is a long-pole linear switch, which launched alongside its PME tactile sibling, the Purple Panda. Instead of the aggressivel 3.0mm travel, the Tecsee Carrot tones things down a notch with a slightly more palatable 3.5mm, making it slightly more comfortable for extended periods of use. Sound and feel however are largely the same as the Purple Panda, thanks to the proprietary PME housings that offer a smooth push feel even with the minimal factory oil, and a unique high-pitched yet ‘thick’ sound signature. The Tecsee Carrot is a top contender for those looking for a great long-pole linear, or just want to feel what PME is all about.
If you love long-pole linears and want to experience the best of Tecsee housings, this switch is for you.
