Tecsee Oreo Linear Switch

Introduction

Just like the actual Oreo cookie, the Tecsee Oreo is creamy…crunchy…and…chocolatey? Well, not exactly. Much like the actual Oreo though this switch is a safe choice that almost everyone loves, no funky weird characteristic (or taste) that would throw people off. This isn’t to say that the switch is boring per se, as it is one of the very few switches that combines nylon with two other less-common materials - UHMWPE and PME. The result is a unique switch that has a slight flair to the otherwise unassuming specsheet.

The bottom housing is made from nylon, a material typically known for a lower pitch sound paired with a PME top housing, a Tecsee-specific material with a reputation for smoothness and a higher pitch. Completing this package is an UHMWPE stem, an increasingly popular material due to its super low coefficient of friction. The result? An impressively smooth switch with a deep and muted bottom out, with an unexpectedly high pitch top-out. Pretty cool we must say.
