Introduction
Before we talk about the switch, we just want to mention that Panghu can be translated to fat tiger - which we thought is pretty cute. Anyways, the Panghu Giant V6 is a linear switch manufactured by Tecsee, joining the Giant series of switches which include the V5 and other lesser-documented releases focused towards the domestic Chinese market, hence why V1-4 do not exist on international sites. Unlike the V5 which came before it, the V6 sports all-new HPE housings - a material which we were curious to try out and when we did, completely blew our minds.
The Panghu Giant V6 feels so incredibly solid, giving us the impression that the housings are thicker and much denser than usual MX style switches. This new material also offers smoothness from that of UHMWPE, whilst appearing like other Tecsee switches made of PME with that somewhat glossy glass-like appearance. Sound wise, the V6 mimics a Gateron milky switch with a long pole stem, having a deep bottom-out stroke with a higher pitched rebound. It is almost as if the housings themselves exhibit a high-pitched sound, but the long-pole stem mutes and deepens the acoustics. This is a must-try switch in our opinion, earning a spot in our list of favourite MX-style switches.
If you love deep sound and a solid push feel, this switch is for you.
