When the PE foam mod was first discovered by the community, it instantly caught on with its ability to make essentially any keyboard sound marbly and have that distinct 'pop' on the bottom out. These switch pads ease the process a whole lot, being pre-cut and coming with an adhesive backing for easy installation, fitting on virtually any keyboard out there while still providing the signature sound the original PE foam mod was famous for.
