The Durian Artisan Pewter Keycap, made by Royal Selangor, brought to you by Rebult Keyboards.

A first of its kind, the artisan keycap is designed and manufactured in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Each keycap is casted from a master mould hand-sculpted by an experienced Royal Selangor sculptor, and finished by hand with an intricate pattern made to mimic the country's most popular fruit, the durian.

Only 200 units of this design will be made available, each coming with its own numbered authentication card and special Royal Selangor packaging.

We've been tremendously excited for this unique project, and are honoured to be able to work with a brand that has such deep roots in Malaysian history. Tin, the majority material in pewter has played a pivotal role in the growth of Malaysia, particularly in areas abundant with the material such as in Kuala Lumpur. Being a pioneer in crafting pewter objects in Malaysia since 1885, Royal Selangor has existed for over 135 years, producing a variety of pewter-based products ever since.

Acceptable Quality Disclaimer

As it is the first time that Royal Selangor is making something like this, there are some imperfections that might be present but are declared as acceptable.

Due to how the mold is constructed, you may notice that the base is very slightly off-center, resulting in a slightly larger gap than usual between the keycap and the key on the right when installed on a board.

Due to the shape of the keycap and the casting process, you might notice something that resembles a spillover in between the base keycap and the durian.
