WS Switches Aurora Series

Introduction

Launched together with Wuque Studio’s Ikki68 Aurora, the WS Switches Aurora Series is a collection of four switches, each matching their corresponding Ikki68 case colour. Initially, these switches did not receive much attention, as they were shadowed by the incredibly popular Ikki68 keyboard itself. We were fortunate enough however to try these switches early as vendors, and boy were we blown away. In fact, the WS Aurora series of switches would later share the same moulds and technology as the very well-received standard WS Switches line, of which they were praised for their zero wobble, smooth push feel and crisp sound. All these characteristics were available much earlier - in the form of the WS Aurora.

The WS Switches Aurora Series comprises four switches - Aurora Fog, Aurora Pink, Aurora Blue and Aurora Clear. All four except the Aurora Clear share the exact same materials and specifications, differing only by colour. The Aurora Clear is an odd one out, with an UHMWPE bottom housing instead of the nylon used in the other three. Difference in sound and feel is negligible however, they all perform essentially the same. Speaking of sound and feel, the switches share the same neutral and very poppy sound signature, with a meaty and crisp clack. They can be configured to be either clacky or thocky, depending on the keyboard they’re in. Feel wise, the WS Aurora switches are insanely smooth - we dare say that these are the smoothest switches of their time. Only until recently with all the advancements in factory lubing are switches able to compare with these, that’s just how smooth they are. The 22mm spring also ties everything in giving a responsive push feel with a moderately heavy weight. If you can’t already tell,  we’re huge fans of these switches and we hope you will love them as much as we do.
