Introduction
Let us start this introduction by saying that if you love deep thocks, look elsewhere as this is just not for you.
Great, now that it’s just the clack enjoyers, let us say that this is our #1 switch recommendation for clack. It is just so damn good, and we use this switch daily in several of our own personal builds. Manufactured by SWK, the Owlab Neon is a beautiful linear switch that has essentially zero wobble, mind-blowing smoothness and a distinct crisp bottom out sound that will send you directly to the gates of clack heaven. It does this without being harsh or annoying in any way, the sound that this switch produces is high pitched yet so thick and luscious - truly a blessing to anyone’s ears especially when paired with a well-designed board.
Featuring a box-style stem, the Owlab Neon as mentioned is so smooth right out of the box, and very consistent at that. The weight is slightly on the lighter end of things, even lighter than the supposedly 58mm bottom out due to the shortened travel distance. If we were to take a guess, we’d say that the switch realistically bottoms out at the 50g to 53g range. The most important part are the housings - a custom blend of nylon that slightly differs between the top and bottom housings, giving birth to the signature clack we love. Typing this introduction out on the Neon has been such a joy, a joy we believe you should have as well.
If you’re a fan of clack, look no further as this is the switch to get.
