Introduction

Part of the AEBoards switch trio, the AEBoards Raed is the linear sibling to the Naevy which came before it, a project that was initiated way back in 2019. Both the Raed and Naevy have long-pole stems, whereas the Blaeck is a standard travel length switch made to mimic the MX Black. What’s special about these is that the stem is custom-designed by AEBoards themselves, and not just another generic recolour or OEM mix-and-match. Since their launch, all three switches have received several updates throughout the years, with slight changes to the materials - the latest being Round 2.1 which are the ones we have in-stock today.

The best way that we can describe the Raed experience is that it is the spitting image of what you’d expect from a premium long-pole linear. Smooth? Check. Full sound? Check. Tight housings? Check. Check, check and check. The Raed ticks every single box of what it takes to be a good long-pole linear, without any fancy gimmicks or tricks. It just works. One special thing we noticed is the bottom out feel of the Raed, it has that abrupt snappy feel we’ve all come to expect from long-pole switches, but somehow with an added cushioned feel. This makes it really quite enjoyable over longer periods of typing, something we can’t say the same about other long-pole switches. All in all, the Raed is a switch we can highly recommend to just about anyone - a crowd pleaser indeed.

If you’re looking to know what a good long-pole linear should feel like, this switch is for you.
